Inventory Control Coordinator

Description

Praxair Distribution, Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for our location in Wilmington, OH.

The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory and coordinating the daily loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of a warehouse.

Inventory Control Coordinator

  • Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner

  • Will interact with shipping companies, purchasing, customer service and/or branch management

  • Reviews all customer orders & branch replenishment picking tickets & flags with special instructions as needed to ensure accurate order processing. Assigns work to order pickers based on order urgency & shipping method and verifies that all same day shipment orders have been processed

  • Creates bin locations & barcode labels for new items and overflow items, performs quarterly bin location/SKU sizing review, works blank bin report weekly, works negative on hand report weekly

  • Resolves shipping errors reported by branches and customers and documents root cause and error source

  • Resolves inventory discrepancies and processes inventory adjustments as required

  • Reviews surplus redeployment report monthly & shifts product as necessary to avoid obsolescence

  • Files freight claims for damaged items & follows up to ensure credit is received

  • Performs end of day balancing and daily cash reconciliation, including customer advance ship notifications (ASN) and customer item labels

  • Manages and escalates product quality and service issues

  • Provides leadership and direction to DC staff in the absence of the DC Manager

  • Supports productivity projects and provides input on ways to improve DC performance

  • Follows Praxair safety procedures and encourages others to do the same

  • Safely operates forklift or other machinery to load, unload, sort, stage and transport product

  • Maintains a clean work environment by keeping area free of trash and product in correct locations

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 years of Warehouse experience is preferred

  • Forklift experience

  • High School Degree or GED is required
