The PST Electronic Materials business unit located in Orangeburg, NYprovides services to the semiconductor industry, flat panel display, LED and solar markets, where we deliver the materials needed to keep the world connected. Currently, we have an opportunity available for anFacility Maintenance Technician – 2ndshift.Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

The PST Electronic Materials business unit located in Orangeburg, NYprovides services to the semiconductor industry, flat panel display, LED and solar markets, where we deliver the materials needed to keep the world connected. Currently, we have an opportunity available for anFacility Maintenance Technician – 2ndshift.Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Job Purpose:Coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and electro mechanical systems.

Scope:

Works under regular supervision, utilizing somewhat diversified procedures and standards

Non-standard decisions reviewed with immediate supervisor and/or Plant Manager

Has some latitude for variations in sequences of, and within, procedures to deal with unusual orunanticipated aspects of required work

Assesses own work and monitors progress against assigned goals

Completes both routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments

Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance as scheduled

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Scheduled, coordinates repair, modification and preventive maintenance operations

Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains standard facility systems

Oversees and/or performs new equipment installations

Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance

May provide advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchases

Ensures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance

Coordinates and oversees the movement of furniture and/or materials and equipment as required

WORKING CONDITIONS

In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Accommodations will be made if they are reasonable, do not create an undue hardship, and will enable an individual with a disability to safely perform the essential job functions.

Qualifications

High School education or equivalent

Knowledge of skilled trades

3-5 years’ experience as a mechanic or repair person

Electrical knowledge preferred

The role will be filled at a level T3 or T4 dependent on experience

This position requires the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

This role works a 2ndshift–typically 3:30pm -12am
