Distribution Superintendent


We are currently seeking a Distribution Superintendent to be based at our Niagara Falls, NY location. This position will report to the Facility Manager in Niagara Falls.

The Distribution Superintendent is responsible for the day to day management of roughly 43 union drivers. This includes implementation of safety programs, meeting fixed and variable cost commitments, compliance with quality system and government regulations. This position requires a combination of office work and field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is required.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Day to day management of drivers. Manages driver schedules, vacations, etc.

  2. Understands and abides by union contract.

  3. Coaches drivers on safety and delivery performance. Administers discipline when required.

  4. Takes actions to improve efficiency of the fleet by reviewing KPI’s, communicating opportunities to drivers and logistics.

  5. Resolves customer delivery issues communicated by drivers

  6. Supports drivers over the road issues as they arise

  7. Communicate daily with logistics regarding driver availability, over the road issues, etc.


  1. Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience

  2. 4 years Operations experience

  3. 2 years Management experience

  4. Distribution, Logistics, and/or Transportation experience a plus

  5. Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills.

  6. Self-starter, who is comfortable working independently, effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.

  7. Proficiency with computers and standard software packages (MS Office, E-Mail etc.).

  8. Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a strong willingness to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines.
