Praxair Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team locatedin Fairless Hills, PA.

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for conducting analytical, inspectional and investigational activities necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, ISO compliance, POIS compliance and general product quality for packaged and cryogenic products.

Quality Supervisor

  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of pre-fill, filling, cylinder storage, quality control and quality assurance per Federal, Local and Praxair guidelines

  • Responsible for overall management of the quality incident reporting database, including customer complaints and non-conformances. Maintain 100% compliance to FDA training matrix for all plant personnel

  • Drive continuous improvement in analytical capabilities including evaluating and researching new product lines (ppm HCl mixtures, ppm Cl mixtures, H2S, semi-volatiles, etc.)

  • Maintain compliance with ISO Certification

  • Assist in the management of customer, regulatory and internal audits

  • Investigate root causes and implement measures to reduce product failure rates for all production areas (6.0 gases, 5.0 laser mixtures, partial pressure mixtures, reactive mixtures, etc.)

  • Assist Lab Manager with maintenance and repair of analytical systems and software

  • Track and manage the process for maintenance, calibration and compliance for all critical measuring devices in plant (master gauges, billing gauges, vacuum gauges, thermometers, scales, analytical equipment, etc.)

  • Responsible for upgrades and projects as directed by plant management

  • Ensure high level of training and knowledge for quality assurance reviewers (QARs)

  • Responsible for developing, writing and approving local work instructions

Qualifications

  • 4-year technical degree with emphasis in science and/or math preferred

  • High School Diploma required

  • 5 years Industry experience preferred

  • Knowledge of ISO quality management systems, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and FDA regulations

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated

  • Ability to work flexible hours
