Praxair Canada Inc. is currently recruiting for a Summer Student- Tax & Treasury contract position for our HQ in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Tax Recovery Work

  • Audit work on JDE tax codes in particular in Package billing post go-live to ensure appropriate tax codes are used

  • Address book clean up continued

  • Package Gas - updating special tax codes in the Item Branch


Education Requirements:

  • Applicants should be working towards Finance degree or certification.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and are able to relate well to others.

  • Excellent research, writing, analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Sound judgment and ability to handle matters of a confidential/sensitive nature.

  • Computer skills to access the Internet as a research tool and to prepare own materials using various software programs.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the group.

  • The ability to adapt, prioritize tasks, maintain focus, and understand and resolve issues.

  • Desire to improve processes, think broadly, and show drive and initiative.
