Sr. Manager, Talent Management & Acquisition

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Manager of Talent Management & Acquisition is a hands-on position and advisor who will lead the talent acquisition and management strategy for Praxair Canada Inc. The Manager will be responsible for providing direction and management in the creation and execution of organization-wide, inclusive strategies to build talent pipelines. These programs will focus on acquiring diverse top talent, building a resource and succession pipeline, while growing the Praxair Canada Inc. employer brand.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy and process for all employee groups

  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting process for Praxair Canada Inc exempt and non-exempt positions and effectively partner with hiring managers throughout the process

  • Creates and maintains recruitment and staffing plans while ensuring strong candidate pipelines

  • Creation of employer branding strategy and university/college relationship strategy

  • Drives a continuous improvement mindset and practice in order to regularly review and streamline for maximum productivity and effectiveness

  • Develops and sustains strong, collaborative partnerships with stakeholder groups to proactively identify, resolve and coordinate efforts in relation to strategic talent acquisition programs and initiatives

  • Responsible for the leadership and development for the talent acquisition team through regular coaching and feedback

  • Subject matter expert on market data and talent acquisition strategy

  • Designs and implements innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse population of qualified candidates

  • Effectively integrate diversity recruiting into the process to ensure diverse candidate pool.

  • Provides monthly assessment and overview of talent acquisition metrics and reports

  • Through on-going education, stays informed of trends and state of the art talent acquisition practices

  • Additional duties as requested or required

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline required

  • Minimum of 8 years of talent acquisition experience required, preferably in a high volume talent acquisition or staffing agency role

  • 2 years of people leadership experience required

  • Hand-on experience developing and executing diversity recruitment strategies

  • Ability to ensure talent team is compliant with regulatory requirements

  • Vendor and contract negation experience strongly preferred

  • Prior experience with campus recruitment and leadership development programs preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with influence

  • Proven ability to build relationships with TA Team, HR team, hiring managers, and senior stakeholders

  • Experienced with Applicant Tracking Systems, Taleo experience preferred

  • Direct sourcing experience is required; Indeed, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Prior success working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills are a must

  • Detail orientated, analytical, organized and a self-starter

  • Excellent rapport via phone and email with internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficient with MS Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • 25% travel
