Praxair Canada is seeking a FP&A Analyst.

The FP&A Analyst will be involved in supporting the month-end process to ensure accurate financial results, forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc analysis. The position reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A and will be a key part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills are invaluable. This role will be responsible for completing varied activities within tight deadlines and will interact with other finance and accounting personnel.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of the month-end financial reporting package and supporting schedules

  • Coordination of monthly/quarterly corporate reporting requirements and preparation of detailed documentation

  • Ownership of the timely and accurate upload of monthly/quarterly financial information in Hyperion

  • Support the development of monthly forecasts and annual budget

  • Production of Corporate Departmental expense reporting & insightful variance analysis

  • Completion of ad hoc financial requests and other projects



  • University degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA designation or working towards completion

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Financial roles and analysis

  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in creating reporting models and templates

  • Experience with large ERP systems - Hyperion, JD Edwards and Oracle databases would be an asset

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments & meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail with focus on accuracy

  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated desire to learn and adapt quickly
