Description

Praxair SurfaceTechnologies (PST), a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company thatsupplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, andrelated services & technologies is seeking a Production/OperationTechnician in our plant located in Manchester, CT.

Production/OperationTechnicians are responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in aproduction environment, including monitor equipment performance and make minoradjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, andalignments. Production/Operation Technicians need to have a high degree ofinterest working in a busy production environment with a strong focus onquality and ability to multi-task.

  • Working safely is our number 1 priority!!

  • Prepare, grit blast and mask parts

  • Work in a wet chemistry environment: load and transfer parts through a series of pretreatment and plating tanks

  • Use hand tools, and perform hand finishing

  • Measure and record various data associated with operating equipment.

  • Work in a dynamic teamwork environment

  • Communicate and work well in a diverse environment

  • Other duties as assigned The production technician will have the abilityto train in our Indianapolis, IN facility.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent is required

  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing and/or plant environment is preferred

  • Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs., stand 8hrs or sit 8hrs, with or without accommodation

  • Ability to follow detailed written instructions

  • Perform basic math and computer skills

  • Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rdshift

  • Working extended hours and/or weekends and holidays may be required
