Praxair Services Canada Inc.,a leading supplier of industrial gases and pressure pumping services, has an opening in our Edmonton, AB branch for a:

Driver - Class 1 (Bulk Liquid Truck Driver)

Class 1 Driver is responsible for the safe delivery of bulk liquid products between Praxair production plants and customer sites. The driver must understand and complete all the required documentation for the DOT/Trans Canada, Good Manufacturing Process and Praxair Policy.

Major responsibilities (Duties may include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for loading / unloading trailers of cryogenics and CO2 liquids as well as gas tube trailers.

  • Must be able to work up to 60 hours per week, in a 24 hours x 7 days/week environment

  • Perform vehicle inspections on equipment, including but not limited to, lifting the cab hood, inspecting the engine and components

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Class 1 with airbrake endorsement

  • Three (3) years bulk liquid driving experience [including B train – considered an asset] and clean driver's abstract

  • Experience in delivering bulk liquids/dangerous goods and completing quality assurance is an asset

  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude

  • Have the ability to do heavy lifting and climbing (50 lbs. and ladders)

  • Have a strong commitment toward safety. Remain attentive in hazard recognition.

  • Basic computer skills are required
