We produce, sell and distribute atmospheric, process and specialty gases. Praxair products, services and technologies are making our planet more productive by bringing efficiency and environmental benefits to a wide variety of industries, including, chemicals, food and beverage, healthcare, manufacturing, primary metals and many others.

This position operates various trucks such as tractor trailers, bobtail and cryogenic liquid transport vehicles to transport cylinders, liquid or tube trailers to branch, plant, and customer locations.

Major responsibilities(Duties may include but are not limited to):

  • Deliver tube trailers or cargos of high pressure cylinders, liquid containers and/or hardgoods and occasionally bulk liquid product between branches and plants.

  • May load and unload cylinders to include counting and recording quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents.

  • Complete shipping orders and related paperwork.

  • Complete trip records, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports.

  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to the Supervisor.

  • Identify the need for repairs and/or maintenance to vehicles



  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.

Professional experience:

  • Valid, incident free, applicable provincial driver's license : Class 3 license with air endorsement.

  • Able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required.

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training.

Other considerations:

  • Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance.

  • Team player willing to work with others.

  • Customer focus and reliable.

  • Some computers skills would be an asset.

  • Willing to be flexible and work in fast pace environment.

  • Problem solver and able to work alone.
