Apply analytics and operations research techniques to solve challenging business problems that impact all aspects of Praxair business units. Project portfolio will involve work in areas including logistics and supply chain optimization, business process optimization, risk analysis, revenue management and business analytics. Combine understanding of business problems with data-based decision making to significantly impact operating profit. Develop technology programs from concept initiation through commercialization, and work closely with the Operations and Business Organizations globally. Develop credible business cases for new technology programs, actively participate in the technical development, and lead multi-disciplinary project execution teams. Stay abreast of new technology developments in this field of expertise, and actively contribute ideas for new programs.


40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

PhD or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Supply Chain Analyst, Engineer, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: applying operations research methods, statistical techniques, simulation modeling, and supply chain optimization tools to solve business problems; optimization including linear, nonlinear, and integer optimization methods; supply chain management including inventory control, logistics, forecasting, distribution, and network analysis; discrete event simulation; statistics and data mining methods including regression, clustering, and outlier detection; databases including SQL Server and Oracle; supply chain optimization tools including Llamasoft supply chain guru or Logicnet Plus; statistics and data visualization tools including R or Tableau; optimization tools including GAMS or CPLEX; and programming languages including C , Java, or C#. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in a listed field plus eight (8) years of experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
